Diddy Requests Judge for Fair Trial to Boost Winning Chances

Diddy says he’s the victim of pure character assassination by witnesses and their attorneys in his federal criminal case and he claims it’s depriving him of the right to get a fair trial.

Diddy claims in newly obtained legal documents that he has a constitutional right to a fair trial, but he won’t get one if his critics that is, his numerous accusers and their attorneys continue to give false impressions to the media.

As you are aware, Diddy was taken into custody in September on federal charges related to a conspiracy to racketeer, forceful sex trafficking, fraud or coercion, and prostitution-related transportation. If found guilty, he may receive a life sentence in prison.

Additionally, according to Diddy’s petition on Sunday, the courts have a “independent obligation to avoid the creation of a ‘carnival atmosphere’ in high-profile case”; rest certain, his own case meets this need.

Furthermore, according to Diddy, the witnesses’ lawyers ought to put a stop to it, citing a legal regulation that forbids attorneys engaged in criminal cases from making unapproved remarks “pertaining to the reputation or character of the accused.”

He claims it’s no secret that, even before his trial has started, he’s been the target of a barrage of divisive remarks made to the media by witnesses and their lawyers.

Several of these attorneys, he continues, have made “shockingly prejudicial and false allegations of sexual assault and abuse of minors” to various news establishments.

Stated differently, Diddy is requesting the judge to silence these individuals in order to maximize his chances of winning the case.
