A nine-month pregnant woman has been missing for over a month.
Emma Baum, 25 years old and nine months pregnant with her fourth child, was last seen on October 10, 2024, at her boyfriend’s house. She was reportedly 1 cm dilated just days before her disappearance.
Emma, believed to have given birth by now, is 5’3″ and weighs approximately 136 pounds. She has several visible tattoos and often wears colorful hairpieces.
Her family stated that she was last seen at a brown house on the 2500 block of Connecticut Street in Gary, Indiana. At the time, her boyfriend, Antwon Butler, was living there. According to Emma’s family, Antwon has been inconsistent in his account of what happened when he last saw her.
The Gary Police Department has searched three locations and conducted four interviews, including one with Antwon, who was in custody on a separate matter.
Emma’s family reported that no hospitals in the area have any record of her since she was reported missing. Additionally, no hospitals have stated that she has given birth at their facilities.
A deputy commented, “One individual was picked up on a warrant, but he has not been charged.”
So far, no charges have been filed in this case. Police noted that while the area where Emma was last seen has license plate cameras and gun detection technology, it does not have pod cameras.
Authorities and a team of independent search volunteers are asking the public for help in locating Emma.
Emma missed Halloween with her children, and her family is praying she will be home in time to spend Thanksgiving with them.
