Last we know is Mel B and Geri Halliwell-Horner were on the outs, this was around the time when Geri’s husband was accused of really inappropriate things on the workplace. Geri did not like Mel’s attitude and also felt that her spice girls band was not supportive.
Well, it seems that the things have now boiled over and affected the entire group and this is not according to any sources, this is not an insider news. This is literally chatty Mel B speaking on the record, on camera in front of a studio audience. She’s always has been open about every time and has never been afraid to speak the truth.
Mel B reveals that the Spice Girls kicked her out of the group chat and what’s more is, she revealed plans for the group specifically that there are no plans. Mel says while taping an episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, explaining why she was kicked out of the group chat “Because I’m Northern and say what I think and feel and I’m constantly saying to the girls, ‘We need to go back on tour”. When pressed for more details, Mel B said “Because they are dickheads.”
Some fans believe this might have just been a temporary joke, especially with the band’s 30th anniversary approaching. They hope the group will be back together soon, and that any recent tension is just a fleeting moment.
Also earlier this year, victoria, she still a spice even she doesn’t perform with them now, she said about the 30th anniversary, “it would be lovely for us to do something to celebrate a dinner or a lunch but it won’t be anymore.”. Melanie C, expressed her desire to headline Glastonbury with the band in 2023. She also said she wanted the Spice Girls to headline Coachella.
A tour or reunion seems unlikely at this point. According to sources, the band was offered an open-ended residency at Wembley Stadium, with a capacity of 80,000. They could have made a fortune, but for whatever reason—whether they didn’t, wouldn’t, or couldn’t—it didn’t happen. So, it’s pretty clear we won’t be getting a Spice Girls tour or concert anytime soon.
